Get Golf Ready Clinics
Get Golf Ready is designed to teach you everything you need to play golf in just a few lessons. PGA Professionals will show you that there are many ways to play by combining fun, friends, and fitness.
Each session focuses on various golf skills. In addition to learning the basics, you will be guided onto the golf course to put your skills into action in a casual, friendly setting.
Ridgecrest Sessions
All classes are held on Tuesdays from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Please expect the last two classes of each session to run from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
- GGR 1 Classes
- Session I: April 28th – June 2nd
- Session II: June 9th – July 14th
- GGR 2 Class
- July 21st – August 25th

- What to Bring: Just yourself and a desire to have fun! Golf clubs, golf balls, and other necessary equipment will be provided for your use.

Week One: The Hole is the Goal
- How to navigate the clubhouse and practice areas.
- The many social benefits on and off the course.
- Suggestions on what to wear for golf fashion and comfort.
- All about golf clubs and why there are different clubs in your bag.
- Putting the excitement of rolling a ball into the hole.
Week Two: Getting It Close
- Warm up, stretching, and wellness tips.
- The best ways to hold the club and get ready before you take a swing.
- Getting the ball close to the hole with chippings, pitching, and other shots for short distances.
- Caring for the course.
Week Three: Swing, Swing, Swing
- Getting comfortable with the full swing.
- Using your irons to get the ball in the air and onto the green.
- Learn the lingo, like fairway, rough, tee box, green, divot, bunker, and more.
Week Four: Driving School
- Swinging your driver and other "big" clubs to hit the long shots.
- Starting your play from the correct tee markers (use TEE IT FORWARD).
- Helpful shortcuts to save time while you play.
Week Five: Ready, Set...Golf!
- Linking all that you've learned to play a few holes.
- Tips for playing in groups, on teams, and other fun way to play.
- Getting you more comfortable on the course and where to drive the cart.
- Review the rules and keeping score.
- More opportunities for you to come back and play golf.
Tournament: Playing Golf Is Fun
As a graduate, you can play in the Get Golf Ready Tournament, which is a free, 9-hole round focused on fun and keeping score with fellow graduates.
